A tragic and emotional week in the racing world… with the devastating news that Michael O’Sullivan passed away on Sunday morning, due to the injuries he sustained from a fall at Thurles earlier this month…
There’s not much I can add to the many glowing tributes that have already been paid to the young jockey since his death… except to say Rest In Peace Michael and much love to your family and friends… 🖤

 EL ELEFANTE (L Russell)
1st in a Class 2 Handicap Chase – 3:20 Kelso (Friday 14th Feb)Â
Now 3 from 5 over fences and she likely won this with plenty still up her sleeve… they’ve had a few cracks at Class 1’s with the mare but the signs are she probably isn’t quite up to that level (0/6, 0p at C1 level) and I’d be looking at the following as a loose set of Prime Conditions (PC) for her…
C2 or less | G/S or softer = 1111111 (7/7 – all 7 career wins)
…she’s a mare in form just now and there’s likely still more to be squeezed from her handicap mark… she was only shuffled up 3lbs to OR 136 for this win, which should leave her with plenty wiggle room yet…

3rd in a Class 4 Handicap Chase – 4:00 Wincanton (Saturday 15th Feb)Â
Now back below his last winning mark (and went down a further 2lbs for this run) but he doesn’t seem to want to be going beyond a bare 3-miles… with his form over further than 3m now reading 0/6, 0p…
He’s still lightly enough raced (in the UK) for an 8yo, and I have PC for him as…

2nd in a Class 5 Handicap Hurdle – 3:00 Musselburgh (Sunday 16th Feb)Â
Not one that wins all that much (5/54 in career) but he is on a winnable mark at present and 4 of his 5 wins have come in the Feb to April period so he might be worth looking out for in the coming weeks… I’ve loose PC for him as…
