NTF Kerry National Analysis:Dosage & Trends
The jewel in the crown of Listowel’s 7 day festival (phew!) takes centre-stage today with the 3 mile slog that is the Guinness Kerry National hitting our screens at 5.10.
18 runners are set to go to post for this valuable handicap chase and I’ve ripped into the race with my tried and tested Dosage and Trends analysis.
It’s a tricky race to nail, in my opinion, and you have to accept the fact that your selection(s) could well be hung out with the washing long before the business end of the contest is reached. However, I’m not one to shirk from such challenges and I’m happy to roll the dice and fire into my 2 selections, there is enough juice in their prices to hopefully pick up the place money at least.

As always you don’t have to side with my selections, there is plenty of analysis in the guide that you can utilize for your own thoughts and workings.
Best of luck if you are getting involved today.
NTF Summer Stunners…
I’m sure it hasn’t escaped your attention that we have one of our Summer Stunners also lining up in the Kerry National in the shape of our Galway Plate victor CARLINGFORD LOUGH. He did the business for us that day, on what has been his only run for us this summer, I know plenty of you were on at much bigger odds than his 7/2 sp.
So do we back him again today? He is a massive 14lbs higher in the weights since his Galway victory, the handicapper dished out pretty severe punishment for that win, that has to be a concern. On the other hand he has only had 9 chase starts and is unexposed over this trip, there is even reason to believe he may be better than a handicapper.
Conditions will be fine for him today and I’m inclined to have him on our side again. We have more than enough Summer Stunners profits to dig into and although on the trends front he has a bit to find I don’t think this is the time to be deserting our band of Summer runners. It is a tough ask from top weight but I’m happy to roll with him. We will know after today if his improvement has stopped and he has reached his ceiling…
BDH Qualifier
Switching away from the jumps for a moment there is also a BDH runner hitting the track tonight at Kempton.
Full details can be found over on NTF’s little sister…
…to be honest BDH seems to be growing bigger than her National Hunt big brother! We will have to realign that balance over the winter…
