Badly Drawn Horse to follow [14th-16th July]
Plenty to note from the past few days of racing, with Newmarket, Ascot AND York all supplying us with some high quality racing and packed fields…
The rain ‘muddied’ the waters (ground) a bit, but that’s to be expected… wouldn’t be a British summer without some biblical rainfall spoiling the party!!
As I mentioned a couple weeks back, I’ve fired the old BDH (Badly Drawn Horse) method back up on the full NTF Members service… a method that, incidentally, pointed towards Newmarket Bunbury Cup winner BIGGLES, as he was highlighted in my Royal Ascot members notes…
After his Newmarket win on Saturday BIGGLES is now obviously 7/12, 4p under his Prime Conditions…
I actually noted two others from that Buckingham Palace Stakes in those Royal Ascot NTF Members Notes – NORTHERN EXPRESS & VAFORTINO – and given that two finished 1st & 2nd in a handicap at York on Friday (14th July) then I reckon it’s safe to say the form of this year’s Buckingham Palace Stakes looks worthy of following going forward… certainly the first ten home in the race (who are currently 2 wins and 3 places from 9 subsequent starts) although I suspect the race as a whole will prove worthy of following…
Back to this weekend, however, and here’s one of the horses that I noted in the latest copy of BDH Notes…
The top quarter of the draw is no easy place to make your mark from in the John Smith’s Cup so I’d be marking the run of SCAMPI up a good few pounds on the bare form and he looks worth following on his coming starts…
I’ve added him to my own personal tracker and he’ll be highlighted in the NTF Stats Sheets/Race Guides whenever he runs next.
If you are looking for a tracker to add such horses to I’d thoroughly recommend the Horse Tracker Tool on GeeGeez Gold [there is currently a £1 for 30-days trial offer for GeeGeez Gold]…
SCAMPI is the type I’d be happy to hang on to for a few starts if he doesn’t immediately get the job done… I don’t have hard and fast rules with such ‘to follow’ types (as in ‘follow for his next 3 runs’ type of thing…) and I prefer to re-assess on a race by race basis… but he doesn’t look like he’s quite at the ceiling of his handicap abilities just yet…
And if you want the full BDH guide for this weekend, as well as everything else I have to offer on the full NTF Members service, then make sure you take advantage of the current discounted sign up offer>>>
